What language do you teach in?
All of the courses at UBIS are delivered in English.
How long is a Bachelor’s Degree?
A Bachelor’s degree takes 3 years of full-time study.
How long is a MBA or Master’s Degree?
A Master’s degree takes 1.5 years of full-time study.
How long is a Doctorate Degree?
A Doctorate takes 2.5-3 years of full-time study.
When can I start my concentrations?
From the first year, you will start to study your chosen concentration. This means that you can delve into your area of interest from the moment you start your program.
How many students are in a classroom?
We pride ourselves on a quality education and one of the best ways to assure that our students are receiving that is by small classroom sizes. This allows students to enjoy quality interactions with their classmates and individualized attention from their lecturers.
How are classes delivered?
In addition to our traditional in person hybrid modality in our classrooms at our Barcelona and Geneva campuses, we offer state of the art virtual classrooms with live lectures powered by our Moodle platform. As well, we offer our students the option to seamlessly switch between our online and on ground campuses.
How long is a semester?
A semester is 16 weeks.
How long is a term?
A term is 8 weeks.
What is the difference between Masters and an MBA?
A Master’s program allows students to extend their experience and academic background and add to their employment opportunities. Our Masters focus in the areas of Information Technology and International Relations. It also enables a Bachelor student at UBIS the opportunity to deepen their chosen specialization and gain expert knowledge in their field of study. An MBA is geared toward the ambitious employee who wants to advance their career as a leader. This is a course for students aiming for a top-level management position or to manage their own company.
What are your Executive programs?
At UBIS we want to recognize the hard work and years of experience that many of our students have already dedicated to their careers. Students that have an exceptional work history with many years of experience can qualify for one of our executive level programs, thereby showing their years of experience and their world-class education on their degree.
What is the difference between a PhD and a DBA?
A PhD is focused on academic research to contribute to the body of academic literature on a topic, whereas the Doctorate of Business Administration focusses on applied research to solve a business problem or develop an idea.
Can I choose my dissertation topic?
Unlike other programs where dissertation advisors may force you to do research on their interests, at UBIS we allow you to customize your dissertation into your chosen field of study and expertise.

Do you offer any scholarships?
Indeed, we offer partial scholarships based on academic merit. These are aimed at students with outstanding academics and financial need. Please note that only candidates who already received Conditional Acceptance can request scholarships.
Do you offer a discount if I continue my education with UBIS?
Yes, we do – we offer a 30% tuition discount to alumni continuing their education with UBIS.
Can I pay my tuition in installments?
Yes, UBIS offers flexible tuition installment payment options.
Do you assist with the visa process to study abroad?
Guidance regarding migration requirements is provided by both Admissions and Student Services departments. Each campus also provides relocation services, including guidance on accommodation, insurance, and bank accounts. Contact your Global Admissions Representative for more information.
Can I work while studying abroad?
Foreign students may work a maximum of 15 hours per week during their studies, and up to 100 percent during semester breaks. This must be reported in all cases to the responsible immigration authorities. Students from outside the EU/EFTA region may only start working six months after the beginning of their studies.
Do you help students find Internships or work?
Yes, our Student Services department has a network of companies and alumni where our student community can have internships with. UBIS offers a fulsome career center through the ULMS as well. Students can explore careers, assess skills, build resumes/CVs, and access career- readiness support. Students will also be registered with JobTeaser for access to workshops, apprenticeships, and job offers in both the US and Europe.
