Dr Femina Syed
Dr Femina Syed has more than 20 years of experience in teaching, training and research across business and management. Her work covers organisational behaviour, human resources, leadership, ambidexterity and innovation.
Her published record includes 19 international journal articles and 11 conference papers. At UBIS, she teaches across doctoral, master's and undergraduate study while leading the Research Institute.
How the Institute supports research.
The work is practical: finding the right publication route, protecting research integrity and helping students use the methods and tools their projects require.
Publication and conference support
Students and faculty receive help identifying suitable journals and calls for papers, checking submission criteria and preparing supporting documentation.
Ethics and research integrity
Workshops cover academic integrity, plagiarism prevention, ethical research and reference management using tools such as EndNote, Mendeley and Zotero.
Research methods and analytical tools
Training can cover literature reviews, qualitative and quantitative methods, mixed-methods research and tools including SPSS, R, NVivo, AMOS and Python.
