Honest fit

Read this before you apply

This page is for students who already have graduate coursework to transfer. A credit evaluation takes about ten minutes and only helps the right people. Check yourself against both columns.

A good fit if

  • You have graduate coursework behind you, finished or not, and you want it to count.
  • You want to finish fast and pay for only the courses that remain.
  • You want your credits, cost, and start date in writing before you pay anything.
  • You study better on your own schedule than on a timetable.

Not the right fit if

  • You have never started graduate study. This page is for transfer students; the number of courses you can skip is the point.
  • You want campus life, scheduled lectures, or a cohort in a room. UBIS is 100% online and asynchronous.
  • You expect a credential without finishing the remaining courses. There is real work left, and you will do it.
  • You need a guaranteed finish date. Timing depends on the credits you bring and the pace you set.

Frequently asked questions

Can I transfer MBA credits from another university?

Prior graduate courses with a grade of B or better, or the equivalent, relevant to the MBA. Up to 50% of eligible credits, awarded in whole courses (up to 18 of the 36).

Can I transfer if I didn't finish my old program?

Yes. Partially completed graduate study can transfer eligible courses when they're a B or better (or the equivalent) and relevant. The review tells you exactly what counts.

Do I need an English test?

Only if you aren't exempt. Native speakers, or people who can show they've studied or worked in English, may not need proof. We tell you during the review; it is never a reason to wait to apply.

Do I see my result before I pay?

Yes. The review gives you your accepted credits, remaining courses, cost, and start date in writing before you enroll.

How much does each course cost?

$770 per 3-credit course. Your total is that rate times the courses you still need, which depends on how many credits transfer. The review tells you exactly.

Are classes at a set time?

Courses are asynchronous, so you work on your schedule and submit by weekly deadlines.

Can I work while I study?

Yes. The program is built for working professionals. You start any Monday within the academic window and set the pace.

How long does it take?

That depends on how you pace it. With the maximum 18 credits transferred you finish about six courses: take several together and you can finish in as little as 4 months (two 8-week terms), or take them one at a time (about 2 months each) and you are looking at about 12 months. Your evaluation confirms the exact number of courses you have left and your pace is yours to set.

Do international credits count?

Yes. International transcripts are accepted and reviewed on the same rules as local ones: a grade of B or better (or the equivalent) plus relevance to the program. We assess each transcript individually.

What if I have no graduate credits yet?

Then this page is not your fastest route. It is built for students who already have graduate coursework to transfer, because the credits you skip are what make it fast and cheap. If you have no graduate credits, a different UBIS pathway fits better.

Is the degree accredited?

UBIS is licensed by the District of Columbia Higher Education Licensure Commission (HELC). Its business programs hold programmatic accreditation through IACBE, recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). The UBIS MBA is a Tier 1 European Program per CEO Magazine. Fully online, same credential as on-site students.
